Permaculture Design Course Outline

Classes are held everyday from 9 – 5:30pm  (12 day), or 9am -7:00pm (10 day)     Every Class day consist of 4-5 sessions: 9am – 10:30am , 11am – 12:30pm, 2pm – 3:30 and 4 – 5:30pm, and 6-7pm for the 10 day course.   There are 1/2 hour breaks between each Session for group and individual activities and an hour 1/2 lunch break. Each day there will be some sort of hands-on activity in applied permaculture.  There will be one or two field trips. There will be scheduled time for group and individual design preparation and sessions for preparing the final design presentation. A  journal for notes is advised.    Please review the curriculum below.

Introduction (What is Permaculture Design)

Building (The Built Environment)

Timetable and topics are subject to change. Students must attend 70% of the 72 hour course to receive their Certificate. Students will design as an individual and in groups.

Books to purchase for the course will be available:

Earth User’s Guide to Permaculture by Rosemary Morrow (available for purchase at the course for $25 NEW)

Permaculture Designer’s Manual by Bill Mollison (optional)
